Disaster struck Georgia’s offensive line against Kentucky last week. The Bulldogs were already dealing with one significant injury on their offensive line, and they unfortunately had two more linemen go down with injuries during the first half last week.

Thankfully Micah Morris, who was the second Bulldog lineman injured against the Wildcats, was able to return and continue playing against Kentucky, but the same couldn’t be said for Monroe Freeling. Along with Freeling was Earnest Green, who missed his second game in a row against the Wildcats.

At the start of this week it was looking like both players were unlikely to play against Auburn this weekend. But Kirby Smart did give Georgia fans some hope Wednesday afternoon that both are progressing well in their recoveries. And that was confirmed late Wednesday night when both Greene and Freeling were listed as questionable to play against Auburn on Georgia’s first official injury report.

Two Georgia linemen upgraded to questionable vs Auburn

It’s important to note that neither player is guaranteed to play against Auburn on Saturday. While seeing both of their statuses improve to questionable is a very good sign, there is still a chance neither play against the Tigers.

But getting both players back would be huge for Georgia against Auburn. Greene and Freeling are both key contributors to Georgia’s offensive line when healthy, so they would both expect to see a lot snaps against the Tigers. This also would sure up the depth on Georgia’s offensive line as well, because if both players didn’t play then all it would take is one more injury for the Bulldogs’ line to be in a very bad spot.

Georgia will release another injury report on Thursday, and these are the two names every Georgia fan should be watching closely. They more than likely will still be listed as questionable to play, but there is a chance they are upgraded to probable or even removed from the injury report altogether.
