Georgia football still has a lot of work to do in the 2026 recruiting cycle as they look to finish with a top two class in the country for the fourth year in a row. Thankfully it is only February so there is still plenty of time for them to accumulate commits and move up the recruiting rankings.
But the position that is arguably the most important to get right is quarterback. Earning a commitment from an elite QB would set Georgia up for the rest of the cycle as the top players in the country want to go where the top QBs are going. So Kirby Smart and his staff will hopefully find their elite quarterback soon so they can reap the benefits of doing so.
One quarterback Georgia has been recruiting recently is five-star Keisean Henderson. Accoding to the 247Sports composite rankings, Henderson is the No. 19 overall player in the country. He also is the No. 2 player at his position and the No. 2 overall player from his home state of Texas.
The bad news for Georgia is that Henderson has been committed to Houston since the end of May. That however will never stop Smart from targeting a recruit, but a quote Henderson shared with On3 shows that UGA may not stand much of a chance at flipping Henderson from Houston.
"I love Houston with all my heart."

Georgia has many other options
The good news for Georgia is that even if they don't stand a chance with Henderson, they have plenty of other exciting options at quarterback they are targeting. This includes Jared Curtis who was once committed to Georgia who is still very high on the Bulldogs.
Time will tell who Georgia ends up adding to their recruiting class at quarterback, but for now it would probably be wise to not expect to ever get good news from Hendersen.
