Georgia football riding high after Tennessee win, earn commitment from 2026 TE
Georgia football is riding extremely high after their 31-17 win against Tennessee Saturday night. While the game clearly has a lot of importance when it comes to the current season and making the College Football Playoff, there’s another reason why this win was so important.
Whenever Georgia has a big win like this it typically leads to some commitments for UGA on the recruiting trail. And that’s exactly what happened early on Sunday, just one day after Georgia’s big win.
3-star TE Lincoln Keyes
According to Hayes Fawcett of On3, 2026 tight end Lincoln Keyes has committed to Georgia.
Keyes is a three-star tight end from Saline, MI, and is the No. 390 overall player in the country according to the 247Sports composite rankings. He is also the No. 20 tight end in his class as well as the No. 7 player from Michigan.
Keyes is now the third member of the Bulldogs’ 2026 class, joining four-star wide receiver Vance Spafford and three-star corner Jontavius Wyman. This class has now jumped up to No. 12 in the country, according to 247Sports.
It would be shocking if this was the last commitment for Georgia after their big win against Tennessee. With so many elite players on campus for this game and with the 2025 signing period beginning in about two weeks, now is the time for this year’s class to start finalizing their commitments.
Kirby Smart and Georgia are after a lot of high profile targets in the 2025 class, and many of them were on campus Saturday. So the expectation is for some of these players to commit to Georgia, and who could blame them after such an amazing game.
Time will tell if UGA is able to get another commitment soon or not, but for now Keyes has got the ball rolling after an electric game on Saturday night.
