Georgia football's 2025 season is still over seven months away, but the hype for the season is growing quickly. Kirby Smart once again will have one of the best teams in the country, with some experts predicting a deep run in next year's College Football Playoff.

But while some people are confident in Georgia next season, others are not. And it just so happens that Vegas does not look fondly on the Bulldogs chances next year.

What is Vegas thinking?

According to FanDuel Sportsbook, Georgia's 2025 win total is set at just 9.5 wins next season. That essentially means that Vegas thinks Georgia has an equal chance of winning nine games in the regular season as they do winning 10 games.

Before discussing why Vegas is wrong, let's first acknowledge the reasons why Vegas might have set UGA's win total at 9.5. For starters, Georgia has to break in a new quarterback next year which is a scary thing for any program. The Bulldogs also have a very difficult schedule that will see them play Alabama, Tennessee, Texas and Ole Miss during the regular season.

While that is a very difficult schedule, Georgia does get three of the four mentioned opponents at home in Sanford Stadium. Speaking of home games, Georgia only has three true road games next season as they have seven home games and two neutral site games. So these scheduling quirks definitely favor Georgia hitting the over.

History is on Georgia's side

On top of that, it has been a really long time since Georgia failed to win 10 regular season games. The last time this happened was in 2020, and before that it was 2016. So history suggests that Georgia will reach 10 regular season wins next season.

It will be interesting to see how next year plays out for Georgia, but UGA fans will find out within the first few games how next season will likely go for the Bulldogs. Georgia's third game of the season is on the road at Tennessee with the following game at home against Alabama. If Georgia survives those two games than over 9.5 wins seems like a guarantee. Even splitting those two wouldn't feel too bad either.

But what Georgia can't do is lose both of those games as that would set next season up to be a complete disaster.
