Georgia football's offense is going to look very different in the College Football Playoff against Notre Dame compared to what it has all season. That is because Carson Beck has been ruled out for the season which means backup Gunner Stockton will be handed the keys to the Bulldogs' offense.

But who is next in line behind Stockton? Most Georgia fans haven't thought about the depth at quarterback this season beyond Beck and Stockton, but now that Stockton is the starter it is very important to know who the new second string is.

Thankfully some information has come out about Georgia's new QB depth chart throughout practice the last few days.

Who is Georgia's new backup QB?

True freshman Ryan Puglisi and redshirt freshman Jaden Rashada are next in line behind Stockton for Georgia. According to Offensive Coordinator Mike Bobo, both players are receiving a lot more reps in practice, but that is to be assumed with Beck no longer in the fold. So what people really care about is who the new backup is, and Connor Riley with dawgnation.com shared what he observed during practice last week.

According to Riley, Stockton was taking all the first team reps followed by Puglisi second and Rashada third. So this implies that Puglisi is the backup for Stockton and would see the field if anything were to happen to Stockton during the game.

It's important to note that this isn't a guarantee that Puglisi is the new backup, but based on the information available that is most likely to be the case.

Hopefully it doesn't get to the point where Puglisi or Rashada need to play, because Georgia's best chance at winning a National Championship is behind Stockton. But both players are going to have to be ready to go, because it is more than possible that either player will get called on during the Bulldogs' upcoming game against Notre Dame.
