Georgia football's 2025 season is only seven weeks away. The Bulldogs once again will face one of the most difficult schedules in the country, but three of their games stand out as being far more challenging than than the rest. Those games are Georgia's home dates with Alabama and Texas as well as their week three road matchup with Tennessee.
These three games could go either way this season, and there is even a chance Vegas could make Georgia an underdog in these games as well which does not happen too often. FanDuel Sportsbook just released the opening spreads for these three games, so let's see what Vegas expects to happen this season.
Georgia opening spread vs. Tennessee, Alabama and Texas
Sep. 13 @ Tennessee: Georgia -7.5
Sep. 27 vs. Alabama: Georgia -4.5
Nov. 15 vs. Texas: Georgia -2.5
Acccording to FanDuel, Georgia fans should expect to win their three most difficult games on their schedule this season.
In reality this isn't all that surprising because their two most difficult games (Alabama and Texas) are both in Athens where Georgia has won 31 straight games. So even though both the Tide and Longhorns could easily beat Georgia this season, it is more than fair for UGA to be the betting favorite.
Then there is Georgia's game against Tennessee which is their third game of the season and their SEC opener. Georgia's first two games are against easy non-conference opponents, so this matchup will be Georgia's first true test. Similarly to Alabama and Texas, it isn't surprising to see Georgia favored because they have beaten the Vols eight years in a row, but seeing them favored by a touchdown is a bit shocking.
Obviously these spreads will likely change once the season begins, and depending on how each team looks there is a chance Georgia becomes an underdog in all three of these games. But for now Georgia fans can rejoice because Vegas thinks Georgia and Kirby Smart will win their three most difficult games this season.
