Georgia football sees vast improvement on updated injury report
Georgia football has had their injury report really fill up in recent weeks. Especially going into this past weekend's game against Georgia Tech, it seemed like their injury report was as large as it has been all season.
However, that is quickly changing this week ahead of their date with Texas in the SEC Championship game as the Bulldogs' injury report is quickly shrinking and seeing some big names improve in their status for Saturday's showdown
Georgia Football Updated Injury Report
Player | Status |
---|---|
DE Joseph Jonah-Ajonye | Out |
RB Trevor Etienne | Questionable |
RB Branson Robinson | Questionable |
RB Chauncey Bowens | Questionable |
DL Christen Miller | Questionable |
Key Takeaways
The thing that jumps out the most is Georgia's running back room. After making his return in Georgia's win over the Yellow Jackets this past Friday, Roderick Robinson is no longer listed on this injury report anywhere, showing that he is officially back to full health.
On top of that, both Branson Robinson and Trevor Etienne continue to improve and inch their way closer to a return. Last week Etienne was listed as doubtful heading into the Georgia Tech game, but this is the first time he has been listed as questionable, so his health appears to be improving. Branson Robinson however is even closer to a return this week as Kirby Smart said that he is "hopeful" that he is able to play.
Last but not least is defensive lineman Christen Miller, who missed last week's game against the Yellow Jackets. However, his status is quickly improving as well as he appears to have a chance at playing this weekend against Texas too.
It is no secret that Georgia needs to be as close to full health as possible if they want to beat Texas this weekend. And so far all signs point towards that being the case. Hopefully these running backs as well as Miller continue to improve over these next couple days, that way they are able to play against the Longhorns and give Georgia the best chance possible of beating Texas for the second time this season.
