Georgia football has officially broken multiple records now during their 30-15 win against No. 1 Texas on Saturday.

First we saw linebacker Jalon Walker record eight tackles and three sacks, which is a feat that hasn't been done against the No. 1 team in the country in over 20 years. But now Georgia (and Texas as well) have broken a TV viewership record during their showdown on Saturday night.

Georgia's game against Texas officially had 12.9 million viewers. The game was aired on ABC, which is an ESPN network, and this total is the largest college football viewrship total on an ESPN network since 2016.

Think for a second about all the amazing games that have occurred in college football since 2016. Georgia has been apart of a lot of them, but there have been countless games that stand out that probably brought in a lot of viewers that Georgia wasn't even apart of.

Sure all of these games probably didn't occur on an ESPN network, but it's probably safe to assume that a lot of them did. And for this game to surpass them all is really awesome to see.

This feat speaks to how big of a brand that Georgia football has become. The Bulldogs have always been one of the larger brands in the sport, but Kirby Smart has really taken the program to new levels in that department, especially in the last few years.

Whether people are tuning in to cheer on Georgia, hoping to see the Bulldogs lose, or are just wanting to watch a good football game, it's safe to say that Georgia is the leader in the last few years when it comes to drawing attention. And based on how the game against Texas went, that doesn't appear to be ending anytime soon.
