Georgia football has had a monster month of May on the recruiting trail. Entering Wednesday, the Bulldogs had already received three commitments in the 2026 recruiting class, with the highlight being five-star QB Jared Curtis.
While three commits in one month is very good, the last commit this month came on May 11, so Georgia was almost three weeks removed from their last commit which is quite a long time for the summer. But there was hope that would change on Wednesday after four-star athlete Ryan Mosley posted on social media late Tuesday night hinting at an upcoming announcement.
Mosley didn’t say what the announcement would be, but considering where his recruitment was at many thought it would be a commitment. The fact that it could be a commitment was a huge deal for Georgia because they were thought to be the leader in Mosley’s recruitment.
Georgia fans thankfully didn’t have to wait long to find out what Mosley’s announcement was, because just after noon EST on Wednesday Mosley officially announced his commitment to Georgia.
4-star Ryan Mosley announces commitment to Georgia
Mosley is a four-star ATH and the No. 182 overall player in the country, according to the 247Sports composite rankings. He also is the No. 23 overall player from his home state of Georgia as well.
Georgia had to come from behind in this recruitment as South Carolina received three predictions in their favor in January and February to win Mosley’s recruitment. But as the calendar hit May, things began to shift in UGA’s favor as two new predictions were made for Georgia to win this recruitment.
Mosley is the 10th player to commit to Georgia’s 2026 recruiting class, which now sits at No. 11 according to 247Sports. There clearly is still a lot of work to be done, but adding Mosley to Georgia’s recruiting class is a big win for Kirby Smart and his staff.
