Georgia football currently has the No. 2 recruiting class in the country. While that is reason enough to celebrate, the Bulldogs did lose a big piece of their class to Alabama last week, so Georgia is in desperate need of some good recruiting news.

Thankfully that news has finally arrived as a three-star offensive lineman who was committed to an SEC program has scheduled an official visit with Georgia.

3-star SEC decommit schedules key visit with Georgia

According to On3’s Jeremy Johnson, three-star offensive lineman Tyreek Jemison has scheduled an official visit with Georgia for later this fall. The above post does not mention a specific date when this visit will occur, but it’s safe to assume it will be for one of Georgia’s final home games against Texas or Charlotte.

According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Jemison is the No. 580 overall player in the country. He also is the No. 48 offensive lineman in the 2026 recruiting class and the and the No. 65 player from the state of Georgia.

Georgia is a bit late to the party when it comes to Jemison’s recruitment, but it appears they have gotten involved at the perfect time. The Bulldogs offered Jemison a scholarship on Oct. 19, and this offer came just 11 days after he decommitted from Kentucky. Jemison is clearly very excited about this offer from Georgia because it only took him a week to get a visit to Athens on the books.

This is a great sign that Georgia already has a visit scheduled, but they will have to hold off some other schools. Georgia Tech and USF are two schools that Jemison officially visited this summer already and Louisville is another team getting involved in his recruitment as they just offered him a scholarship as well. But Georgia shouldn’t be too worried about going up against any of these programs, and with Jemison already making a trip to Athens this recruitment could be end in UGA’s favor very soon.
