No. 5 Georgia and No. 1 Texas are set to do battle Saturday night in Austin, TX at DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium. Georgia is looking to clinch bowl eligibilty by improving their record to 6-1 while also looking to get back in the driver's seat when it comes to making it to the SEC Championship game.

The Bulldogs have a lot of difficult games remaining on their schedule, but none will be more difficult than this. In fact, Georgia is an underdog for the first time since 2021.

But how much of an underdog is Georgia?

Final Georgia vs. Texas Odds

As of 5:00 am EST on Dec. 19, Texas is a five point favorite over Georgia on ESPN Bet. The over-under is set at 57.5 points as well. ESPN's FPI predictor also gives UGA a 23.6 percent chance to defeat Texas.

Georgia vs. Texas Prediction

I have kind of been all over the place this week with who I think will win this game. Early in the week I thought Texas would win this game and I wouldn't have been surprised to see them win by a comfortable margin either. But as the week has gone on I find myself getting more and more confident that Georgia will pull off the upset.

Maybe this is my bias beginning to kick in, but my prediction is beginning to follow my heart instead of my head.

So give me Kirby Smart and Georgia to come into Austin, with the entire college football world watching, and bring a big victory back to Athens. I also think both defenses are going to struggle in this game, so I predict the over will hit as well.

A Georgia win will also make this game one of the all time best wins in program history. Defeating the No. 1 team in the country on the road to get back into SEC and National Championship contention is great enough, but a win would also be Smart's 100th of his career.

And I predict that is exactly what we will be celebrating late on Saturday night.

Final Prediction: Georgia wins 34-31
