Georgia football and Texas are set to do battle at DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium in Austin, TX this Saturday. This will be the Bulldogs seventh game of the season and what is already their fifth game in the SEC.
Georgia is sitting at 5-1 (3-1) this season after a 41-31 win against Mississippi State this past weekend. The Bulldogs are looking to clinch bowl eligibility against the No. 1 team in the country, which clearly won’t be an easy task.
Texas enters this game with a perfect 6-0 (2-0) record. Those six wins have all been in dominant fashion, with none greater than their last time out against No. 18 Oklahoma which they won 34-3.
This matchup has all the hype you could ever hope for. A meeting between top five teams with ESPN’s College Gameday in town will surely have the college football world taking notice. But when you combine that with a very small point spread you already know this game could be one for the record books.
Current Georgia vs. Texas Odds

Georgia vs. Texas Prediction
This is the most torn I've been all season. On one hand Texas just seems to good even for Georgia to compete against and beat on the road. But at the same time, we all know that Kirby Smart and his team are talented enough to come away with a victory against anyone. It's always just a matter of if the team can put together a full 60 minutes.
It will take a full 60 minutes to defeat Texas, and as I sit here writing this at the beginning of the week I'm not confident Georgia will be able to do that on the road. If the game was in Athens or at a neutral site I'd feel differently, but the fact this is on the road in Austin is what is swaying me to pick Texas.
I also think this game will be a shootout and predict the over to hit as well.
Prediction: Texas wins 38-34
