Georgia and Alabama are just a couple days away from taking the field in what is one of the biggest games of the college football season. This game will not only help shape the race to win the SEC this season, but it also will impact the College Football Playoff as well.

The entire country should be watching this game not only for the excitement of seeing two of the best programs of this era play, but because the final score of this game will impact any team with hopes of making the CFP.

As always, here is all the information college football fans need to know to watch Georgia and Alabama play.

What time do Georgia and Alabama play?

Kickoff between Georgia and Alabama is scheduled for 7:30 pm EST on Saturday, Oct. 10. The game will be played in Tuscaloosa, AL which marks the second game at Alabama in the last three years.

How to watch Georgia vs Alabama

Georgia and Alabama are the prime time game in the SEC this weekend. This game will be televised on ABC and will be available to be streamed on the ESPN app and Fubo TV as well.

College GameDay will be in town to hype up this game as well, assuming the weather doesn't become an issue. Their pregame show will air on ESPN from 9:00 am to Noon EST Saturday morning.

Georgia vs Alabama betting odds

Georgia currently is 1.5 point underdog to Alabama, according to the DraftKings Sportsbook. The over-under for this game is set at 52.5 points.

ESPN also is a believer in Alabama as they give the Tide a 52.6 percent chance to win this game.

When this spread initially opened on Sunday Georgia was favored by a couple points. The spread then jumped back and forth between Alabama and Georgia for 24 hours, but for the past two days now Alabama has been the favorite in the eyes of Vegas.

Georgia vs Alabama weather report

There is a chance for severe weather on Saturday in Alabama, so much so that the game may not go on as scheduled. A major storm is forming in the Gulf of Mexico that is predicted to be heading straight for Alabama, and it will reach land late Friday night or early Saturday morning. There is a chance it could turn into a hurricane before reaching land, and that obviously creates a lot of danger in the surrounding area.

The storm is expected to die off from initial hurricane levels by the time it reaches Tuscaloosa. Even if that's the case there could still be too much rain, wind, lightning and tornado conditions to allow the game to be played on Saturday.

Georgia, Alabama and the SEC are closely monitoring the situation alongside expert meteorologists, and at this point the game will still be played as originally scheduled. They however have admitted this could change as the strength of the storm and its path becomes more clear.

Georgia vs Alabama predictions

Georgia and Alabama have the two best scoring offenses in the country. That would imply that this will be a high scoring game, but the weather could ultimately prevent that from occurring.

The Bulldogs also have a strong defense who is ranked No. 12 in total scoring. Alabama however isn't even inside the top 50 and that could ultimately be the difference in this game.

It wouldn't be surprising to see either team win this game. They are both 5-0 and ranked inside the top six of the AP Poll, and with such a close spread anything is possible. Georgia however dominated Alabama the last time they met in the SEC Championship game last season with a stout run defense, and the Tide haven't done enough this year to prove they will be able to effectively run the ball against Georgia.

Prediction: Georgia 20, Alabama 13
