Georgia and Auburn are ready to do battle for the 130th time in the Deep South's Oldest Rivalry. The Bulldogs have a slight edge in this series all time, but they have been especially dominant over the past decade against their bitter rival.
But just because Georgia has won a lot in the past does not mean they will win Saturday night. All that being said, Vegas still believes Georgia stands a great chance at beating Auburn and moving to 5-1 this season.
Georgia football vs Auburn final odds
According to the FanDuel Sportsbook, Georgia is favored by just 3.5 points against Auburn. The over-under for this game is set at 46.5 points as well.
ESPN's matchup predictor also favors Georgia as they give the Bulldogs a 64.5 percent chance to emerge victorious.
Georgia football vs Auburn prediction
Georgia has beaten Auburn eight games in a row. A win on Saturday would rewrite the history books as it would tie the record UGA already holds for the longest winning streak in the history of this rivalry.
Auburn however is going to do everything they can to make sure that doesn't happen. Jordan-Hare Stadium will be rocking all night long as this is the first big home game the Tigers play this season. Auburn also can't afford to lose this game either as one more loss will eliminate them from College Football Playoff and SEC Championship contention.
If Georgia is going to win this game, they need to find a way to slow down Auburn's dynamic wide receiver duo. Eric Singleton and Cam Coleman are a handful to contain when quarterback Jackson Arnold is throwing their way, so Georgia's secondary is going to have to be up to the task.
This game however will come down to Georgia's offense. Will Gunner Stockton and his receivers be able to make enough big plays through the air? Can Georgia's potent rushing attack stay hot against a solid Auburn run defense? If so, Georgia will have no issues making it nine straight victories over their hated rival.
Prediction: Georgia wins 27-21
