Georgia football has their full attention on Texas this weekend, but some news came out on Monday about their final home game of the season. Georgia will welcome Charlotte to Athens for their second to last game of the season on Nov. 22 after their matchup with the Longhorns on Saturday. This game obviously does not hold as much wieght as any of Georgia's games during SEC play, but the hope is that this will be a good opportunity to sit back, relax and enjoy an easy victory to close out the home season.
The SEC however had other plans as they decided to give Georgia the worst start time possible for this matchup as kickoff between UGA and Carlotte is officially set for 12:45 pm EST on Nov. 22.

Georgia vs Charlotte kickoff time confirmed for the worst time possible
The outcome of Georgia's matchup with Charlotte is already known. Georgia is going to win this game by a large margin, so there really won't be any excitement surrounding that aspect of the game. But the hope was that Georgia would at least have gotten a good start time so fans could enjoy one final game at Sanford Stadium as much as possible, but that did not happen.
No one should have expected this matchup to be a night game. While most of the SEC is playing a weak non-conference opponent this week as well there are a few battles in the SEC, so those deserve the best time slots. But why couldn't Georgia have had a late afternoon start? That would have given fans at least some time to enjoy one final tailgate instead of having to rush to the stadium early in the day.
Unfortunately the SEC decided to ruin Georgia's last home game of the regular season, but there is a chance the Bulldogs could hose a first round playoff game this year. Many CFP projections have Georgia hosting a first round game this season, so that would be a good way to make up for this mistake from the SEC.
