Georgia football is set to take on rival Florida next week in Jacksonville, FL, and it is shaping up to be another great game.

Both teams are currently on their bye week, so no team will have an advantage there. And with both teams trending up in recent weeks this game has a chance to be a lot closer than most think.

Kickoff time and TV announced

Goergia and Florida will do battle on Saturday, Nov. 2 at 3:30 pm EST. The game will once again be aired on ABC.

Key Matchup Trends

Georgia enters this game 6-1 (4-1) and coming off a 30-15 win over Texas. The Bulldogs are riding a three game win streak and have risen to No. 2 in the latest AP Poll.

Florida enters this game 4-3 (2-2) and winners of three of their last four games. Their most recent win came last week against Kentucky, which they easily won 48-20. The one loss for the Gators in this stretch came on the road against Tennessee by six points in overtime. Florida was unranked in this week’s AP Poll.

Gerogia leads the all time series against Florida 56-44-2, which includes winning the last three matchups. Last season Georgia dominated Florida from the jump, taking a 26-7 lead into halftime. The Bulldogs didn’t slow down from there, and went on to beat Florida 43-20.

Florida has lost starting QB Graham Mertz to injury for the season. While this is a big loss, the Gators have adjusted just fine under new QB DJ Lagway, as seen in their blowout win last week.

How will Georgia respond after such an emotional win their last time out? Georgia has the potential to start slow this game as they recover from their big win over Texas, and with Florida having found recent success, they will be confident they can hang with the Bulldogs.

Kirby Smart better have his team ready to go, because this is going to be a battle.
