Georgia football has one final game remaining this season, and that is a home date with in-state rival Georgia Tech. The Bulldogs are hitting their stride at the right time after beating UMass 59-21 on Saturday, and with help from around the country the Bulldogs are in position to win the SEC and earn a top four seed in the College Football Playoff.

But before UGA can think about that, they have to get through Georgia Tech first.

Georgia has been dominant in recent years against the Yellow Jackets, and they will look to continue that dominance as a pretty large favorite going into Friday night's game.

Current Georgia vs. Georgia Tech Odds

As of 5:00 pm EST on Sunday Nov. 24, Georgia is a 20.5 point favorite over Georgia Tech on FanDuel Sportsbook. The over-under is also set at 54.5 points for this game. ESPN's Football Power Index gives Georgia an 89.8 percent chance to win this game as well.

Georgia vs Georgia Tech Prediction

Even though 20.5 points is a very large spread, this is a game that Georgia Tech could seriously challenge Georgia in. They are a 7-4 football team which is a very respectable record, and even handed Miami (FL) their only loss of the season. So if Georgia doesn't show up, they could lose this game.

But there is too much on the line for Georgia in this game. The Bulldogs do have their spot in the SEC Championship game clinched already, so as long as they win that game they are automatically in the CFP. But if UGA were to lose this game and lose in Atlanta the following week, then Georgia will definitely be left out of the College Football Playoff.

Georgia also is fighting for a chance to host a first round game in the CFP if they fail to earn the top four seed and first round bye that will come with winning the SEC.

So add all of that together on top of the fact that Georgia Tech is a massive rival, and there is little chance UGA doesn't take this game seriously. And if Kirby Smart and Georgia take this game seriously, then good luck to the Yellow Jackets.

Prediction: Georgia wins 34-13
