Georgia’s rivalry matchup with Florida is in just a few days, and they desperately need a win. They need to come out on top to erase the bad taste left in their mouth after losing to Auburn and to stay in control of their own destiny when it comes to making the SEC Championship game and College Football Playoff.
Florida however can’t afford another loss if they want to make it to Atlanta or to the playoff this season.
As always, here is all the information fans need to know to watch Georgia and Florida play this weekend.
When do Georgia and Florida play?
Georgia and Florida are scheduled to play at 3:30 pm EST on Saturday, Oct. 31.
How to watch Georgia and Florida
Georgia and Florida will air on ABC and will be available to be streamed on the ESPN app and Fubo TV as well.
The Bulldogs and Gators will have one of the top broadcast crews calling this game as Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit will be in the booth with Holly Rowe reporting from the sidelines.
Where are Georgia and Florida playing?
Georgia and Florida are taking a two year break from playing in Jacksonville while their stadium is renovated. This year these teams are meeting in Atlanta and next season they will head back to Florida to play in Tampa before returning to Jacksonville in 2028.
What does Vegas think of Georgia’s matchup with Florida?
Georgia unsurprisingly is the favorite to win this game. They originally opened as a 9.5 point favorite, but that line has slowly climbed to 11.5 points according to the DraftKings Sportsbook.
This shift shows that bettors are confident Georgia will handle their business even after losing to Auburn the last time they took the field. It will be interesting to see if the spread changes again, but for now Vegas is a strong believer in Georgia heading into this weekend.
Georgia vs Florida prediction
Even if Georgia is favored by over two scores this is still a difficult game to get a good feel for. Georgia has looked like one of the best teams in the country in six of the seven games they’ve played, but their loss to Auburn two weeks ago was ugly.
There’s a chance that game was just a fluke and they in fact are one of the best teams in all of college football, but they have to go out and prove that.
Florida also has shown they are capable of playing at a high level. They have two impressive wins over Texas and Ole Miss this season, so they are a team capable of beating Georgia. They however have also lost to Missouri and South Carolina as well, so it’s impossible to know which version of Florida will show up.
Regardless of what Florida does, this seems like a game Georgia will win. The Bulldogs are 5-0 in their next game following their last five losses, and they are also 5-0 after their previous five bye weeks. Georgia is expected to win and the odds are in their favor, and while they will come out on top this matchup will be close all game long.
Prediction: Georgia 27, Florida 21
