Georgia football is ready for their rematch against Texas in the SEC Championship game. So much is on the line in this game as the winner not only is crowned the champion of the SEC, but they also earn a top four seed and first round bye in the College Football Playoff. So in a year where people have debated if winning a conference title still matters, it is clear that it is still important for both teams this weekend.

But everyone knows how difficult it's going to be for Georgia to win this game against a Longhorns team who is playing much better than they were earlier this season. And Vegas agrees as they do not like Georgia's chances in this game.

Georgia vs. Texas Final Odds

Georgia football remains an underdog against Texas as they are a 2.5 point underdog as of 6:30 am EST on the FanDuel Sportsbook. The over-under is also set at 49.5 points for this game. ESPN's Football Power Index is also not very high on the Bulldogs chances as they give Texas a 61.7 percent chance to win this game.

Georgia vs. Texas Prediction

As you all remember, Georgia beat Texas on the road earlier this season in somewhat dominant fashion 30-15. But these two teams are a lot different since playing this game, especially Texas who is playing their best football of the season.

The Longhorns are coming off a game against their rival Texas A&M where they did not allow one point on offense by the Aggies for the entire game. Now that is an impressive feat.

But still, Georgia is going to have every chance to win this football game. They clearly can beat this Texas team since they did so already this season, but it is very difficult to beat the same team twice even if the winner of the first game historically does pretty well in rematches in the SEC Championship game.

So all that being said, it is hard to see Georgia coming away with a win in this game. UGA for whatever reason struggles in the SEC Championship game under Kirby Smart, and those struggles will continue again this season with another close loss.

Prediction: Texas wins 20-17
