Georgia football has to put their loss to Ole Miss behind them quickly, because up next they have a top 10 Tennessee team coming to Athens on Saturday night. If Georgia plays as bad as they did against Ole Miss, this could be another long night. However, if they play to their full potential they most certainly can get their season back on track with a win.

With the game still six days away, the sentiment around the country is that it will likely be a very close game. However, Vegas does not agree.

Georgia opened as a 10.5 point favorite over Tennessee before the line shifted to 8.5 points before this weekend's games. After the Vols won again and Georgia lost to Ole Miss on Saturday, one would think the line would shift even more in Tennessee's favor for this weekend's game.

However, the exact opposite happened.

Georgia becomes an even larger favorite over Tennessee

Betting lines are one thing that is nearly impossible to understand. Sometimes it seems like Vegas comes up with these spreads out of nowhere, but more often than not they tend to be correct. So it's best to trust what they say instead of trying to prove them wrong.

But what just happened to the line in Georgia's upcoming game makes absolutely no sense.

Vegas had Georgia favored over Tennessee by 8.5 points heading into this weekend, but now on Sunday the Bulldogs jumped to 9.5 point favorites. One would think the exact opposite would happen based on this weekend's results, but somehow, someway, Georgia is a larger favorite now than they were before they played Ole Miss.

Hopefully Vegas knows something UGA fans don't, because there is no way that the average sports fan can understand this. As mentioned before, Vegas typically knows what they are doing, so let's hope they're right because Kirby Smart's squad desperately needs a win.
