Georgia football has officially turned the page after their dominant win over Mississippi State on Saturday and have all of their attention on Texas. The Longhorns got off to a rough start to their season, but after four straight wins they are back in the College Football Playoff picture and the No. 10 team in the country.

But even though Texas is playing their best football of the season, Vegas is still very high on Georgia's chances to win this game. FanDuel Sportsbook originally named Georgia a 5.5 point favorite in their opening spread, but oddsmakers decided after just 24 hours to adjust the spread in Georgia's favor even more.

Georgia vs Texas spread is on the move

5.5 points already seemed like a large spread for a matchup featuring two top 10 teams, but Vegas decided after just 24 hours that it wasn't enough. Georgia now is favored by 6.5 points against Texas as the public appears to have been very high on UGA's chances to win this game as well.

So it appears the betting public and Vegas aren't phased by the four game win streak Texas is on, and there is a good reason for that because Georgia is on a five game win streak of their own. This includes their 20 point win over Mississippi State as well as solid victories over Ole Miss, Auburn and Florida.

Georgia however should not care what this spread is listed at. All they need to do is beat Texas because even a one point victory over a top 10 team in the country will look very good on their resume. A victory over Texas also would potentially be the biggest win of the season because it would be their third win over the Longhorns since they joined the SEC and essentially eliminate the Longhorns from CFP contention.

Kickoff between Georgia and Texas is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 15 at 7:30 pm EST.
