Georgia football is in the halftime locker room with just a 14-3 lead over FCS Austin Peay. That is about as ugly as it can get for the Bulldogs against a team like Austin Peay, and Georgia fans are expressing their anger after witnessing that first half performance.
Unfortunately the play on the field wasn't the only negative takeaway for Georgia because true freshman tight end Ethan Barbour suffered an ugly injury on the final play of the first half.

TE Ethan Barbour carted off the field after scary ankle injury
Georgia was sitting on the Austin Peay one yard line facing a fourth down with five seconds to play in the half. Mike Bobo chose to be aggressive and try to score a touchdown instead of taking three points with a field goal, and that decision backfired big time.
Not only did Georgia fail to find the end zone, but Barbour suffered a nasty ankle injury during the play. Georgia fans won't know how serious this injury is until after the game, but Barbour had to be carted off the field which is never a good sign.
Barbour earned the start at tight end for this game and has even taken some snaps at full back so far as well. He is yet to record a stat in his short Georgia career, but the future was very bright for him this season after all the playing time he was already getting.
Unfortunately Barbour will not return in this game and his status going forward is in serious jeopardy as well.
Georgia now faces a second half where they are going to need to play much better. They will have to do so without Barbour, which in theory shouldn't be a problem against a team like Austin Peay, but after witnessing the first half who knows what will happen.
