Gunner Stockton is the biggest needle mover in Georgia's program. Not only can he get his teammates going before a big game, but anything he does will cause a big reaction from the fanbase as well.
This happens even when he doesn't intend to as seen in the uniquely awesome highlight clip Georgia posted of a Stockton pass during spring practice.
One throw in a non-team drill……but that footwork looks a LOT better from Gunner Stockton. pic.twitter.com/MQFO9z1qe8

Georgia highlights Gunner Stockton's vast improvement in the best video ever made
Do highlight videos get cooler than that? Georgia's social media team deserves a round of applause for putting together this clip because it shows a big play Stockton made during spring practice in a really cool way.
Looking at the play a little closer though reveals something really important about Stockton. Before making the pass he shows off his impressive footwork that he has clearly been working on this offseason because that was something he struggled with last year.
One thing holding Stockton back last season was connecting on the deep ball. The biggest reason why he struggled with that is because his footwork would get away from him from time to time. That is something someone who is a capable runner like Stockton tends to struggle with because the second the pocket breaks down their first instinct is to tuck the ball and run. But if he wants to improve as a passer that is something that has to change.
It's one thing to have better footwork in practice and it's another to do it in the game when multiple SEC defenders are trying to take his head off. It goes without saying though that if Georgia is going to win a national title it will be because Stockton takes a big step in the right direction in his development.
Some have questioned if he is capable of improving enough, but so far he has shown that he is getting better at a lot of key areas so far this offseason.
