Earlier this month five-star quarterback Jared Curtis flipped his commitment from Georgia to Vanderbilt. This was the worst possible outcome for Georgia in their recruiting class because now they have very little time to find a new QB to replace him.
However, the Bulldogs have officially found their next target who could replace Curtis in four-star Teddy Jarrard.
Bag of Bones: Peach State quarterback Teddy Jarrard, a Notre Dame commit, reclassified over the weekend. Will Georgia jump into the hunt now that he is a 2026 prospect? #GoDawgs

Jarrard originally was a member of the 2027 recruiting class, but he just opted to reclassify to the 2026 class. This means his recruitment is nearly over as he will be able to sign his Letter of Intent in about a month.
The bad news for Georgia is that Jarrard is currently committed to Notre Dame. Jarrard made that decision back in July as he chose the Fighting Irish over Georgia who was one of his finalists. That however does not mean his recruitment is over because UGA actually stands a decent chance at flipping him for two big reasons.
Georgia locks in on a Jared Curtis replacement and Notre Dame should be concerned
Jarrard is from the state of Georgia, so the fact that he chose the Irish over UGA to begin with was a bit surprising. But if anyone is going to flip him from Notre Dame it would be Georgia since they are the in-state school.
On top of that, Notre Dame already has a quarterback committed and signed to their program in their 2026 recruiting class. Georgia as everyone knows does not have a QB in their class right now. So does Jarrard really want to go to Notre Dame and compete with someone in his class? Or does he want to come to Georgia where he would be the only quarterback coming to Athens next year?
Time will tell if Georgia is able to convince him to ditch Notre Dame or not, but Jarrard is someone that UGA absolutely has a chance to flip.
