The last few weeks have been a roller coaster for Georgia football and Jared Curtis. Curtis is Georgia's top commit in the 2026 class as he is the No. 1 quarterback in the country, but a couple weeks ago his commitment didn't feel as set in stone as it once was.
Curtis took not one, but two visits to Vanderbilt a couple weeks ago. This sent the college football world into a frenzy thinking that he may flip from Georgia to the Commodores, but Curtis has said multiple times that he was not leaving Georgia.
That unfortunately has not stopped the speculation that he could still leave Georgia, but On3 insider Rusty Mansell officially put that speculation to bed.
"His family has said he's staying with Georgia, he has said he's staying Georgia, his agent said it's the place for him..."

Jared Curtis said the one thing that every Georgia fan wanted to hear
Curtis is the future of Georgia's program. The hope has always been that he would come to Athens in 2026, sit behind Gunner Stockton for one year and then take over the offense in 2027. But those hopes were in serious jeopardy while he was visiting Vanderbilt a few weeks ago.
But Georgia has survived the Commodores attempt to flip Curtis as both he, his family and his agent have confirmed that he is sticking with Georgia.
So UGA fans can once again look to the future and enjoy how positive the outlook for Georgia football remains. Curtis is the No.1 quarterback in the country and he will hopefully be able to take UGA back to the top of the college football world. So while the path to getting Curtis to Georgia was a little bumpy at times, fans no longer have to worry if he is going to be a Bulldog.
