G-Day has come and gone which marks the end of spring ball for Georgia. While that is a sad time for fans because they won’t see the team again until the fall, this marks the beginning of an extremely important recruiting season.

Kirby Smart had a lot of big name visitors on campus for G-Day to help spring them into this main recruiting season. This included multiple five-star recruits along with two big name official visitors.

No news has come out about any of these recruits quite yet, but Georgia insider Rusty Mansell believes that a lot of news is on the way very soon.

Georgia insider prepares fans for a wave of recruiting news

Mansell did not share anything specific about what news could be coming, but it’s clear that he thinks some big things are. So what could potentially happen?

For starters, there could be some new commitments coming soon which tends to happen after a big weekend of visits like G-Day was. It’s hard to guess who those recruits could be, but Georgia’s two official visitors are great candidates.

Those recruits are four-star tight end Jaxon Dollar and four-star offensive lineman Carter Jones. Both players were trending to other schools before their G-Day visits, but immediately after their visits they both said they want to announce a commitment soon.

Neither said Georgia was the team to beat, but Mansell could be inferring that.

Donte Wright is another name fans should be paying close attention to as well. He is a five-star defensive back who is already committed to Georgia, but a few weeks ago he was predicted to flip to Oregon. He also visited Athens this weekend for G-Day, so maybe Mansell is hinting at him shutting down his recruitment.

Who knows what could be in the horizon for Georgia, but it’s clear something is. So fans better strap in because there could be some big celebrations coming soon.
