Georgia football is entering the final stretch of their season with all of their goals in front of them. The Bulldogs are 7-1 and the No. 5 team in the country, and with just two conferecne games left this season they are closing in on what could be another trip to the SEC Championship game.
But in order for Georgia to earn the right to play for an SEC title, they need to survie their final two games in the SEC. And that begins with a road game at Mississippi State this Saturday.
Mississippi State is a miserable 1-4 in the SEC this season, but they were a perfect 4-0 in non-conference play. So even though they sit near the bottom of the SEC standings, Mississippi State is a very good team who has a great shot to make a bowl game.
But since their overall record isn't as strong UGA's, some Georgia fans may be looking past Mississippi State because a huge matchup with Texas is looming next week. But Georgia insider Radi Nabulsi sent a warning that this is the last thing anyone in Athens should be doing.
I don't think folks truly understand what a problem this game vs. MSU will be for the Bulldogs. Smart isn't sandbagging here. https://t.co/MrwP3Zo9Yz

Georgia has been warned about how good Mississippi State is
Mississippi State is dangerously close to having a much better record in conference play than 1-4. Their loss to Tennessee and Texas came in overtime and they also only lost to Florida by two points. They did have an ugly loss to Texas A&M this season, but there is a world where they win those three close games and are sitting at 8-1 entering Saturday's matchup.
So even though they aren't 8-1, they clearly are a team that is good enough to hang with just about anyone in the country. That includes Georgia, and Kirby Smart also made sure to warn his team about how good this Mississippi State team is.
Georgia is only favored by 7.5 points in this matchup, so that is yet another sign that UGA could be in for a tough battle. But Georgia has been able to survive multiple upset attempts already this season, so that should be the expectation for this game as well.
