Georgia football's spring practice schedule is coming to an end later this Saturday when they have their annual G-Day. This is always somewhat of a sad time for Georgia fans because it means they have to wait multiple months for fall camp and the regular season to begin.

But before that long wait begins, Georgia still has a few more practices and one more scrimmage to get through as they gear up for the season ahead.

Many of the Bulldogs' position groups have performed very well this spring, but there is one group that has stood out the most according to Georgia insiders.

Georgia's tight end group are turning heads this spring

Georgia was very spoiled for three straight years at the tight end position thanks to Brock Bowers. The elite tight end was a cheat code in college football, and the Bulldogs used that to their advantage en route to their two recent National Championships.

The 2024 season however marked the first year without Bowers in Athens as he moved on to the NFL, and the offense noticeably suffered because of that. Georgia's offense struggled for a large portion of this past season, and that likely has to do with not having an extremely reliable target in Bowers roaming the field.

But even though the 2024 season wasn't that great for the Bulldogs' tight ends, there is a lot of hope coming out of spring ball that the tight end group has been standing out the most.

The leaders of that group are Oscar Delp and Lawson Luckie, who will undoubtedly have the most production out of the group this year. This position also has some very talented freshman coming in which includes Ethan Barbour and Elyiss Williams who both could see the field as true freshman.

This season could be special if Georgia is able to get a lot more production from their tight end group. Mike Bobo will need to make a more conscious to get this group more involved in the offense, but if he does then Georgia fans should expect big things from this group this fall.
