Georgia's win over Texas on Saturday was as good as it gets. It's always impressive whenever Georgia beats a top 10 team in the country, but beating them by 25 points is hard to top.

Georgia has beaten a lot of really good football teams under Kirby Smart, with many of those wins coming at home. UGA has been so good under Smart that they are in the middle of one of the most impressive streaks in the country. Georgia's win over Texas was their 12th straight victory at home against a top 10 opponent, and all they need is one more win to tie the all-time NCAA record.

Georgia is one win away from setting an untouchable NCAA record

Georgia is expected to beat any team they face at home, even when they are ranked inside the top 10. But to win 12 straight games against top 10 opponents feels statistically impossible even knowing how great Georgia has been under Smart, but that is the exact streak UGA is on right now.

The Bulldogs are a little lucky though that this streak is still in tact because Alabama was not ranked inside the top 10 when they beat Georgia earlier this season. But that shouldn't take away from just how impressive this streak is.

There is a chance Georgia could tie this record this season because they could host a first round College Football Playoff game. But if that doesn't happen then UGA could have a chance to tie or even break this record next season.

Looking at next year's schedule there are a few teams that will play Georgia in Athens that could be ranked inside the top 10. Oklahoma is the most likely out of every opponent, but there is an outside chance that Missouri, Auburn or even Georgia Tech could find themselves inside the top 10 when they come to Athens.

It is just a matter of time though until Georgia faces another top 10 team at home, and when they do it will be important for them to win because it would be really nice for UGA to have their name attached to this record for the foreseeable future.
