Georgia football fans, we're going to try something a little different tonight.
No complaining about Mike Bobo. No questioning every play call that didn't result in a touchdown. No worrying about whether Gunner Stockton threw for enough yards to impress somebody on social media. And absolutely no whining about the defense allowing seven points instead of pitching a shutout.
Not tonight. Not after Georgia walked into Oxford and absolutely obliterated Ole Miss 42-7.
Sometimes, a football game doesn't need to be dissected until every little imperfection becomes a reason for concern (we'll leave that task for Kirby Smart). Sometimes, you can just sit back, smile, and appreciate the fact that your favorite team is really, really good.
And Georgia is really, really good. Exceptionally good. Or, as the head coach himself might say... elite.
Georgia football fans should appreciate what Kirby Smart has built
Think about what just happened. Georgia went on the road to face a Top-10 Ole Miss team with one of the best quarterbacks in the nation, in one of the toughest environments in the SEC, and beat the Rebels by 35 points.
And beat them is the operative word. Ole Miss head coach Pete Golding looked one hundred percent defeated by the second quarter.

The Bulldogs led 28-0 at halftime. They extended that to 35-0 before Ole Miss finally found the end zone. This wasn't a game decided by a lucky bounce or one controversial call. Georgia was simply the better football team, and it wasn't particularly close.
That's the kind of performance that deserves to be celebrated without immediately searching for something that went wrong.
Sure, there will be other games when Bobo's play-calling deserves a second look, moments when Stockton needs to make a better throw, and certainly there will be defensive mistakes worth correcting.
But when your team beats a quality opponent by five touchdowns on the road, maybe those conversations can wait.
Stockton doesn't need to throw for 400 yards to prove he's a good quarterback. Bobo doesn't need to call the perfect game to prove Georgia's offense can be dangerous. And the defense doesn't need to hold every opponent scoreless to remind everyone how dominant it can be.
The scoreboard said all that already.
Georgia fans shouldn't take moments like this for granted
Here's the thing about being a Georgia fan during the Kirby Smart era. Winning has become so normal that sometimes it feels like fans have forgotten how difficult it actually is. There are programs all over college football that would do just about anything to experience what Georgia fans get to experience on a regular basis.
National championship expectations. Meaningful November football. Games against ranked opponents that feel like opportunities rather than obstacles. And nights when the Bulldogs make one of the SEC's best teams look completely overmatched.
That's not normal. That's special.
Georgia needed a performance like this, too. Not because the Bulldogs had anything left to prove about whether they belonged among the nation's best, but because there are moments in every season when a team needs to remind everyone just how high its ceiling really is, and tonight in Oxford was one of those moments.
So enjoy it, Bulldog Nation.
Celebrate the offense. Appreciate the defense. Give Stockton his flowers. Give Bobo some credit. And take a moment to recognize what Smart continues to accomplish with this program. There will be plenty of time to worry about the next opponent, the SEC Championship, the College Football Playoff, or whatever other challenges are waiting around the corner.
But tonight? Georgia just beat Ole Miss 42-7 on the road. That's not a night for complaints. That's a night to be a proud Georgia Bulldog fan.
