Who doesn't love a little Nick Chubb? He is one of the greatest running backs in Georgia football history who helped kick off the Kirby Smart era in a positive way.
Most Georgia fans probably believe that Chubb should be enshrined in the College Football Hall of Fame at some point. He is No. 2 all time in SEC rushing yards, so surely that is enough to get himself in the Hall of Fame.
Unfortunately he will never make it into the Hall of Fame thanks to an outdated rule that requires a player to be a First Team All-American at some point in his career to be inducted.
Georgia Legend Nick Chubb is currently ineligible to make the College Football Hall of Fame because he was never a First-Team All-American during his college career. 😳

Nick Chubb will never be in the College Football Hall of Fame because of an outdated rule
As mentioned, Chubb finished his career with the second most rushing yards in SEC history with 4,769. He also accounted for 44 rushing touchdowns to go along with 361 receiving yards and four receiving touchdowns.
His senior season in 2017 he helped lead Georgia to Smart's first SEC Championship and trip to the College Football Playoff. The Bulldogs also won the Rose Bowl in the CFP semifinals before falling just short to Alabama in the championship game in overtime.
Throughout his career at Georgia he also won SEC Freshman of the Year, accumulated three 1,000 yard rushing seasons, made the first team All-SEC team and was a freshman All-American. One would assume that is a good enough career to make it into the Hall of Fame, but his failure to be named to a First Team All-American team will prevent that honor from ever being bestowed upon him.
Chubb is still chugging along strong in the NFL today even after a few bad injuries. Most recently he spent last season with the Houston Texans where he immediately found a lot of success in a reserve role. Now Chubb is a free agent, but he thankfully is getting some looks from a few NFL teams.
Chubb will always be remembered for being one of the best Georgia Bulldogs of all time, but it is a shame that he will never be included in the College Football Hall of Fame like he deserves.
