Get ready for this. Not long after the Oklahoma Sooners improved to 10-2 on the year and 6-2 in SEC play with their latest win over the LSU Tigers, Danny Kanell struck again. The former Florida State quarterback, turned hot take artist painted another masterpiece over social media. Oklahoma does not have a good offense by any stretch of the imagination, but the Sooners do belong in the playoff.
He argued that for as great as the defense is, their offense is on par with being "mid-level MAC bad."
So leave it up to Georgia legend David Pollack to put Kanell in his place with this epic quote tweet.
I 1000% want to watch their defense. I wonder which great offense wants to play them? https://t.co/kAIm3cEy6K

Oklahoma may have only beaten a rudderless LSU Tigers team by the final score of 17-13, but the Sooners might have the best defense in all of college football, or certainly one right up there. OU has ranked wins over Michigan, Tennessee and Alabama. They also beat Auburn and Missouri when they were ranked as well. This is not a perfect team, one that has a certain ceiling, but it is a playoff team.
As for Kanell's beloved Florida State Seminoles, they just lost to arch rival Florida to stumble to 5-7.
Georgia legend David Pollack knows good SEC defense when he sees one
As Pollack's beloved Georgia Bulldogs move on to the SEC Championship Game, awaiting either Alabama or Ole Miss, depending on how the Iron Bowl shakes out, he probably does not want to see Georgia face Oklahoma in the first round or the national quarterfinals. Again, Oklahoma does not have the offensive firepower to win multiple playoff games. Georgia had its issues with Georgia Tech.
One has to wonder how good Oklahoma could have been if John Mateer was both healthy all season long, and not so inherently reckless with the football... This is a major downside to having a transfer quarterback come in from Washington State, along with his 30-something wunderkind offensive coordinator Ben Arbuckle. And we all thought he would be getting head-coaching looks this winter...
For now, find someone who loves you as much as Kanell loves engagement farming over on social media. Pollack coming in from the top rope was a pleasant surprise, but then again, the guy loves himself some defense. His alma mater has a great one too in Georgia. This is a team that has held its opponents to 21 points or less since beating Ole Miss 43-35. Ole Miss beat Oklahoma in a shootout...
At this time, Georgia and Oklahoma should feel fantastic about their chances of making the playoff.
