Ole Miss quarterback Trinidad Chambliss was extremely confident heading into their matchup against Georgia on Saturday. It makes sense why he would be since he threw for over 600 yards in their two games last year while also knocking UGA out of the playoff, but Georgia got their revenge.
The Bulldogs went to Ole Miss on Saturday and left with a blowout 42-7 victory. There are countless reasons why this result should make Georgia feel good, but dominating Chambliss and the Ole Miss offense after what he said earlier this week in an interview might be the best reason to feel happy after this game.
"I want Georgia at their best; I want to face Kirby Smart. I want to face that tough defense."

Trinidad Chambliss learned to not poke the bear
There likely was a big difference in Chambliss' mindset heading into this year's matchup against Georgia. Last year he had a lot to prove against UGA both in their regular season meeting and in the playoff. Before their regular season matchup in 2025 he hadn't become the star player that he is today. He still had to prove himself on a big stage, and even though they lost at Georgia last year he played extremely well.
Heading into their matchup in the playoff last year he had a massive chip on his shoulder as he looked for revenge against Georgia, and that's what he got. He diced Georgia up for 60 minutes in the playoff to prove that he was much better than whatever the UGA defense could throw at him.
In the buildup to this week's game Chambliss challenged Georgia's defense. He said he wanted to face them head on and hinted at the fact that he wasn't scared of them, but maybe he should've been. Georgia proved that their defense is much better than last year as they held him to just 170 passing yards while barely completing 50 percent of his passes. Chambliss also threw an interception, didn't throw a touchdown and ran for negative 12 yards.
There likely isn't anyone that thought Georgia's defense was going to play this well against Chambliss after what he did to them last year, but he poked the bear heading into this game and UGA made him pay.
Georgia can't fall into the same trap of becoming too confident
Georgia more than likely will be the new No. 1 team in the country this week after Miami lost to Notre Dame. This will put them in the exact same position they were in before they lost to Auburn earlier this season.
The week before losing to Auburn the Bulldogs won at Alabama in a massive night game showdown. That victory saw Georgia slide up to No. 1 in the country just like this week's win at Ole Miss should do too. Now Georgia has to face a slightly above average Missouri team at home one week later just like when they had to play Auburn one week after their Alabama win.
Georgia has to be careful to not fall into the same trap of thinking they are world beaters. It's easy for them to feel too confident in themselves after blowing Ole Miss out and becoming the No. 1 team in the country, but they can't let that happen again.
Georgia needs to keep their head down and act like this win over Ole Miss, and their No. 1 ranking, never happened, that way they can stay as motivated as possible to finish the season strong.
