Georgia football did what they do best on Saturday as they took down Mississippi State in dominant fashion 41-21. This win moves Georgia to 8-1 on the season with all of their goals still in front of them.
While this win is massive for the rest of the season, this victory means so much more for the program as it was the 900th win in Georgia football history.

Georgia joins elite company with win over Mississippi State
Georgia is now the ninth program in college football history to reach 900 wins. They are also the fourth SEC program to reach this mark along with Alabama, Texas and Oklahoma.
900 wins is no small feat. In order to reach that mark Georgia had to be dominant generation after generation, and that is exactly what they have done. But there is no denying that the best stretch of football in Georgia's history is what is currently taking place today.
Kirby Smart is in the middle of his tenth season at Georgia, and he has taken the program to the top of the college football world. Smart has won three SEC Championships during his tenure along with two national titles as well. On top of that he has led Georgia to countless big wins in the regular season against some of the best teams in the country. Smart has clearly played a big role in helping Georgia reach 900 wins, but this achievement speaks to more than just Smart's legacy.
This milestone proves to the entire country that Georgia is one of the best programs in the history of college football. There aren't many programs out there who have had as much success as Georgia has, so no matter what happens it's important for fans to remember just how good they have had it.
