The good news just keeps on rolling in for Georgia football on the recruiting trail. Not only have the Bulldogs earned a commit four days in a row now, but Georgia continues to receive predictions to land more recruits in the coming days.
The latest prediction to come in is for four-star defensive lineman James Johnson, who was just predicted on Wednesday to commit to Georgia by On3’s Chad Simmons.

Johnson ranks as the no. 47 player and the no. 2 DL. 👀
Could the Dawgs add two top five defensive linemen in the SAME day (June 30th)? 🤔🤔👀👀 pic.twitter.com/wEt1Zsc6aF
June 30 can’t come soon enough for Georgia fans
According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Johnson is the No. 69 overall player in the country. He also is the No. 8 defensive lineman in the 2026 recruiting class and the No. 10 player from his home state of Florida.
Johnson’s impressive ranking is reason enough for Georgia fans to be excited about this potential commitment, which is expected to come on June 30. But there’s another key recruit that is scheduled to announce their commitment that day as well.
PJ Dean is another four-star defensive lineman who was just predicted to commit to Georgia as well. Similarly to Johnson, Dean is a top 100 recruit in the 2026 recruiting class and is expected to commit on June 30 as well. So the last day of the month could turn into the biggest day of the recruiting year for Georgia as the Bulldogs could be adding two top 100 players at the same position.
Things can obviously change between now and June 30 with both of these recruits, but things are looking really strong for Kirby Smart and Georgia right now. But if Georgia is able to hold on in both of these recruitments, then UGA will continue their rise in the recruiting rankings and have a legit shot at signing the No. 1 class in the entire country.
