Georgia football has slowly but surely been on the lookout for who their quarterback of the 2027 recruiting class will be. The Bulldogs unfortunately haven't been able to make much progress with some of their initial targets, but a new QB offer was just handed out on Monday to a top 100 player in the country.

Georgia has their eyes set on their new QB target

According to the above post, Georgia has officially offered four-star quarterback Peter Bourque. According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Bourque is the No. 90 overall player in the country. He also is the No. 9 QB in the 2027 recruiting class as well as the No. 1 player from his home state of Massachusetts.

Bourque already has 26 scholarship offers, but unfortunately one team already is trending in his recruitment. Local powerhouse Penn State already has a crystal ball prediction in their favor on 247Sports, so this indicates that Georgia is going to have to play catch up if they want to win this recruitment.

One of Georgia's top QB targets in the 2027 class is Teddy Jarrard who is scheduled to announce his commitment on Thursday. It however looks like Jarrard is going to commit to Notre Dame, so that is likely why UGA made this offer to Bourque as they know they are going to lose Jarrard's recruitment.

Bourque has not indicated when he wants to announce his commitment yet, so the Bulldogs still have time to catch up to Penn State and become a serious contender in his recruitment. This however is going to be extremely difficult to accomplish since Penn State is nearby Bourque's hometown and is the early leader.

Kirby Smart has won more difficult recruitments before though, so he and Georgia shouldn't be counted out just yet.
