Four-star offensive lineman Breck Kolojay shared on Monday that he would be announcing his commitment on Aug. 1. This was a big deal for Georgia football because they were included in his top five and have been one of Kolojay's top teams throughout most of his recruitment.
Unfortunately this recruitment looks like it won't be going Georgia's way as USC was predicted by Rivals' Chad Simmons and Steve Wiltfong on Monday night to win Kolojay's recruitment.

Georgia predicted to lost important 4-star OL target
Kolojay shared on Monday that USC, Colorado, Miami (FL) and Oklahoma were his top five schools, along with Georgia, that he would be deciding betwen when he announced his commitment. At the time no prediction had been made so it felt like there was a good chance Georgia could win this recruitment, unfortunately that no longer appears to be the case after this prediction in favor of USC.
Kolojay took a visit to Georgia a little over a month ago, and it was immediately after this visit that he made a major change in his recruitment. It was at this point that Kolojay decided to push his commitment timeline up instead of committing at some point during his senior season.
The fact that he made such a major change to his recruitment immediately after visiting Georgia made it feel like UGA was in a good spot in his recruitment. Unfortunately that is not the case.
According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Kolojay is the No. 20 offensive lineman in the 2026 recruiting class. He also is the No. 40 player from his home state of Florida and the No. 286 overall player in the country.
This is a commitment that UGA could have really used as they are still needing to add some firepower to their recruiting class up front, but it now looks like Kirby Smart and his staff are going to have to find a new offensive lineman to target.
