Georgia football just wrapped up one of their best months of recruiting of all time after earning 18 different commitments throughout June. Since June was so busy for UGA, it’s not likely for them to find as much success in July. But there are a few big targets that have scheduled commitment dates coming up that Georgia fans will want to pay attention to.

One of those upcoming commitments is for four-star tight end Brayden Fogle, who plans to commit on July 4. Before Wednesday it’s been unclear what team leads for Fogle, but a new prediction was just logged on Wednesday that indicates Georgia is the team to beat.

Georgia is days away from landing their next commit

According to Rivals’ Chad Simmons and Greg Smith, Kirby Smart and Georgia are the leader and expected to win the recruitment for Fogle. Penn State and LSU are Fogle’s two other finalists, so Georgia would be taking down some serious programs if they win this battle.

According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Fogle is the No. 163 overall player in the country. He also is the No. 10 tight end in the 2026 recruiting class as well as the No. 7 player from his home state of Ohio.

Fogle would be Georgia’s second tight end to commit to their 2026 class as fellow four-star Lincoln Keyes from Michigan is already a member of UGA’s class. The Bulldogs are also still after five-star tight end Kaiden Prothro as well, but he has the ability to play wide receiver as well so Georgia may plan on slotting him there if he joins UGA’s class.

July 4 is already a fun day to celebrate, but Georgia fans may have another reason to enjoy themselves this year. So stay tuned, as this announcement is right around the corner.
