Georgia's recruiting in June was full of big swings with few misses, so what's next?

Georgia football just wrapped up the best stretch of recruiting the program has potentially ever seen. Kirby Smart and his staff were able to earn a whopping 10 commitments over the last nine days of June, which is something that has potentially never been done before in the history of college football.

The month of June unfortunately did have one loss in it as well, but even after that loss there is still so much to look forward to as the month of July begins.

So let's dive in and recap all 18 commitments Georgia earned during the month of June, beginning first with the 16 commits from the 2026 recruiting class.

All 18 Georgia June commits

4-star CB Justice Fitzpatrick - June 3

3-star OL Zachary Lewis - June 9

3-star P Wade Register - June 11

3-star OL Zykie Helton - June 11

3-star K Harran Zureikat - June 12

4-star CB Caden Harris - June 14

4-star OT Ekene Ogboko - June 18

4-star LB Shadarius Toodle - June 22

4-star EDGE Khamari Brooks - June 23

3-star DL Corey Howard - June 24

4-star RB Jae Lamar - June 25

4-star S Chace Calicut - June 27

4-star DL James Johnson - June 28

4-star DL Pierre Dean - June 30

3-star DL Preston Carey - June 30

Not only did Georgia earn the above 16 commits from the 2026 class, but they also landed two elite recruits in the 2027 class as well.

4-star WR Gavin Honore - June 2

4-star CB Donte Wright - June 30

Georgia's one key loss in June

The above 18 commitments makes the month of June nearly perfect for Georgia on the recruiting trail, but there was one piece of bad news UGA suffered. That occurred on June 23 when top 100 wide receiver Vance Spafford flipped his commitment from Georgia to Miami (FL).

While that was a big loss for Georgia, it's hard to complain about it after all the big wins throughout the rest of the month that UGA earned on the recruiting trail.

Georgia is preparing for a massive July

Georgia is still full steam ahead even after this past month with the calendar officially flipping to July. The Bulldogs have a few more elite targets they are after that either have a commitment date scheduled for July or will likely commit at some point throughout the next month.

Five-star tight end Kaiden Prothro is scheduled to announce his commitment on July 12, and Georgia is the leader in his recruitment right now. Running back Derrek Cooper was also scheduled to announce his commitment July 12, but he cancelled that commitment date a couple days ago and has not provided another update since. The Bulldogs were also thought to be the leader for Cooper as well, but that could be changing after this announcement.

Defensive back Tyriq Green is scheduled to announce his commitment on July 12 as well. It's unclear who leads for Green, but Georgia is one of his four finalists. Lastly there is five-star linebacker Tyler Atkinson who has not publicly shared a commitment date, but many believe it could happen throughout the next month.

There is no shot that Georgia earns as many commitments as they did in June, but July has a chance to be just as big of a month for Georgia. And with three five-star targets potentially announcing their commitments in July, the magnitude of this next month could be just as big for Georgia as June was.
