Five-star quarterback Jared Curtis is the gem of Georgia football's 2026 recruiting class. But even though Curtis is the No. 1 QB in the country, he knows he needs a lot more talent around him if UGA is going to be successful during his career.
So Curtis has decided to help Kirby Smart and his staff in their recruiting effort, and this time he has his eyes set on linebacker Tyler Atkinson.

Jared Curtis helping recruit 5-star Tyler Atkinson to Georgia
Atkinson is a five-star linebacker from the state of Georgia who is the No. 1 linebacker in the country. He has been a top target for Georgia for multiple years now, and he has even visited Athens 15 times throughout his recruitment.
Knowing how important of a target he is for Georgia, Curtis is seen in the above video pointing at Atkinson and indicating he is doing his best to help recruit him to Georgia right now.
Atkinson released a big update in his recruitment on Wednesday. He first shared that Georgia is one of his four finalists along with Clemson, Oregon and Texas. On top of that, Atkinson shared that he plans to announce his commitment very soon. He unfortunately didn't share a specific date that will occur, but the consensus among college football recruiting experts is that it will occur sometime in July.
Georgia will continue to have to fight off these three other programs until Atkinson announces his commitment, but as it stands today the Bulldogs are the clear team to beat in this recruitment. It won't be easy for Georgia to come out on top, but as long as Curtis continues to push for him like in the above post, UGA fans should be really hopefuly that Atkinson will be a Bulldog very soon.
