Georgia football didn't have too many surprises on their first injury report ahead of their SEC Championship matchup with Alabama. The Bulldogs did however receive some bad news as starting center Drew Bobo was ruled out after suffering an injury against Georgia Tech last week. That however was expected, so Georgia has had plenty of time to prepare for life without Bobo.

Running back Bo Walker however was someone who did not suffer an injury on the field, but he was also ruled out after he was in a car accident this past weekend.

Bo Walker injury update: Georgia RB ruled out vs Alabama

No specifics about the accident Walker was in have been released, but he did suffer a pretty serious jaw injury. Walker did need to have surgery on his jaw as a result of this accident, but it was reported that the surgery was successful and he will make a full recovery. Unfortunately it isn't clear how long that recovery will take, but it is a relief that nothing more serious happened to him in the accident.

Walker has been a stellar backup for Georgia this season, so missing him as a depth piece could be difficult to overcome. The good news is that Chauncey Bowens is not listed on Georgia's injury report, so he and Nate Frazier will both be healthy and ready to go this weekend. But if Georgia does suffer an injury to either player they will start to notice the lack of depth at the position impacting their offense.

But at the end of the day it is good that Walker didn't suffer a more serious injury from this accident. Sure it would have been nice for him to be available to play this weekend, but his health and recovery is the most important thing after something as scary as a car accident.
