Georgia football is officially the hottest team in the country on the recruiting trail. Not only have the Bulldogs earned four commitments in the last eight days, but they also had three of their top players that are already committed to UGA officially shut their recruitments down as well.

All of this great news by itself is reason enough for Georgia fans to be etremely excited, but UGA fans should also be very proud of the milestone Georgia reach after their latest batch of commitments on Wednesday.

Georgia enters top 5 in team recruiting rankings

Not long ago, Georgia's 2026 recruiting class was ranked outside of the top 20 in the country. This wasn't because they didn't have good players in their class, it was because they still didn't have that many players committed yet.

That however has changed over the last month and a half as Georgia has continuously added to their recruiting class. The electric run the Bulldogs have been on began at the beginning of May when five-star quarterback Jared Curtis committed to Georgia. This one moment sent Georgia on the impressive run they've been on over the last six weeks, which was capped off by two more commitments on Wednesday.

These last two commitments however moved Georgia into the top five recruiting classes in the country, according to the 247Sports composite rankings. The only teams that find themselves ahead of Georgia still are USC, Ohio State, Notre Dame and Clemson.

So whle having the No. 5 recruiting class in the country still isn't good enough for Georgia, it is an extremely important accomplishment that is worth celebrating. This feat shows Georgia fans just how far UGA has come over the last month and a half and why Kirby Smart and his staff are the best recruiters in the country.

The best news of all however is that a Georgia insider publicly shared that this recruiting run for Georgia is not over yet.
