After bringing Georgia back to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2015. Granted, it did not go as well as many would have hoped, as the Bulldogs were beaten by 8-seed Gonzaga in the first round, but White still got the job done throughout the season.
Because of that, Georgia has rewarded White with a major contract extension of three years through the year 2031. White is one of four Georgia coaches to receive an extension, along with the track, women's tennis, and equestrian coaches. While the financial terms of the extension have yet to be announced, this is still a huge announcement for Georgia men's basketball.
Here to stay ‼️

In three seasons at Georgia, White has posted a 56-46 record, with his best season coming this past year. The Bulldogs went 20-13 overall, but also played in the best conference in all of college basketball, being a part of the SEC. Winning eight conference games was something very respectable and clearly a big reason why they made the NCAA Tournament.
White was also able to lead Georgia to the NIT the year before in 2023-2024. So in three seasons, White was able to lead the Bulldogs into postseason tournaments, which could be a clear reason as to why the administration felt he deserved a contract extension.
Preseason practices are now underway in Athens as the full schedule has now been released. While it is still football season for Georgia, the basketball season is not too far away and will be here for anyone who knows it.
