Georgia football survived Tennessee's upset attempt Saturday night by knocking off the Volunteers 44-41 in overtime. There were a lot of things that had to go right for Georgia to win this game which includes a little help from Tennessee, but thankfully UGA was able to get it done thanks to the MVP performances from these three Bulldogs.

1. QB Gunner Stockton

Quarterback Gunner Stockton has to be mentioned as one of the three MVPs for Georgia in their win over Tennessee. Stockton completed 23 of 31 passes for 304 yards and two touchdowns on Saturday. He also ran the ball for 38 yards and another touchdown as well.

But most importantly, Stockton proved all of his naysayers wrong who said he wasn't good enough to win this game. He showed that he is capable of leading UGA to a lot of success this season, so this performance should increase everyone's confidence in him moving forward.

2. LB C.J. Allen

Georgia's defense did not have their best game on Saturday, but linebacker C.J. Allen still showed why he is one of the best linebackers in the country. He finished the night with 11 tackles and one pass defense on a night when Georgia's defense struggled to slow Tennessee's offense down.

Allen is going to have to be Georgia's defensive leader if UGA is going to win a lot of games this season, but what he showed in a tough environment on Saturday should make every Georgia fan a believer in him.

3. RB Josh McCray

Running back Josh McCray has had a slow start to his Georgia career after transferring from Illinois this offseason. He dealt with a sickness for much of fall camp, and that really limited him so far this season.

McCray however showed on Saturday that he can excel in his role as he scored two big touchdowns for the Bulldogs on Saturday. This includes the game-winner in overtime which was changed to a touchdown after a review.

The Bulldogs now enter their bye week before welcoming Alabama to town in two weeks. This bye week couldn't have come at a better time because Georgia has a lot they need to work on and they need some time to settle down after this emotional win. But even though there is a lot Georgia needs to improve on, these three Bulldogs deserve their flowers after leading UGA to victory over Tennessee.
