The 2025 college football offseason has a chance to be one of the wildest in recent history, and Georgia could be at the center of it.

There are countless head coach openings already in college football and the offseason hasn't even begun yet. This not only means that more openings are likely coming, but that coaches from across the country will be on the move to new jobs, and that could include a few Georgia coaches as well.

As UGA waits to see how this offseason plays out with certain members of their staff, Kirby Smart needs to prepare by having a few coaches in mind that he could hire if any of his assistants leave Georgia this offseason.

Georgia, Kirby Smart could lose a few coaches

There is a chance that Georgia won’t lose any of their coaches this offseason, but that is unlikely to occur with all the rumors that have been circulating. Defensive coordinator Glenn Schumann has had his name tossed around the most for more than a few head coach openings, including for a openings with SEC rivals.

Offensive coordinator Mike Bobo could receive some calls for new jobs as well after the resurgence from Georgia’s offense this year. He hasn’t been publically linked to any openings like Schumann has, but it wouldn’t be surprising if conversations have happened behind closed doors.

Then there is safeties coach Travaris Robinson who has been named as an assistant coach who could receive some interest from some smaller schools with head coach openings.

At this point it is impossible to predict what’s going to happen, but Georgia fans should prepare for a wild offseason. Hopefully this offseason doesn’t see any UGA coaches leave, but there is a very real chance more than a few take new opportunities and Smart will be left with a few important hires to make himself.
