Georgia's matchup with Mississippi State is right around the corner. Excitement from Georgia fans is sky high as the Bulldogs are 7-1 and have all of their goals still in front of them this season. So while Mississippi State isn't as big of a game as others on the schedule, UGA fans are still looking forward to this game to see if Georgia can continue on their path to win a National Championship.
But that excitement took a significant hit when the SEC gave Georgia the worst start time for this matchup.
SEC made a big mistake with Georgia vs Mississippi State kickoff time
Kickoff between Georgia and Mississippi State is scheduled for noon EST on Saturday, Nov. 8. This is the worst possible start time because no fans in the SEC want to see their teams play at noon. They would much rather have their game start at 3:30 pm or or at night when the atmospheres are exponentially better and there is plenty of time to get ready for the game throughout the day.
The SEC however chose to not give Georgia and Mississippi State a good start time. And while it makes a little sense because MSU is only 5-4 this season, one primetime game this weekend features two teams even worse than that. Florida and Kentucky were gifted a 7:30 pm start time even though both teams are 3-5 this season. So how do two terrible teams get a perfect start time while Georgia and Mississippi State get stuck with a noon kickoff?
The SEC clearly isn't paying attention to what is happening around the conference because they put a game that has zero meaning in a primtime slot. Thankfully Georgia will battle Texas at night next week, but it's impossible to not be upset with the conference after this decision.
