Georgia's No. 1 target at quarterback in the 2027 recruiting class is Elijah Haven. He is the No. 2 player in the country and the top ranked quarterback in the class, so it made sense why Georgia would wanted to add him.
Unfortunately things aren't going Georgia's way as Alabama is predicted to win his recruitment.
But Georgia may already have their eyes on a new QB as they offered Davin Davidson a scholarship on Jan. 29. And that offer appears to have made a huge impact on his recruitment.
Davin Davidson's recruitment has exploded over the last couple of weeks. The 2027 QB has picked up around 20 offers and he knows five schools he wants to visit in March.

Georgia's latest QB offer shows a shift in focus on UGA's coaching staff
Georgia could have some issues recruiting a quarterback in the 2027 class because they already have the No. 1 QB (and No. 1 player in the country) committed to their 2028 class, so adding a player like Haven seemed unlikely. But someone like Davidson could make a lot more sense, and it looks like this offer made a big impact on him.
247Sports has Davidson as a three-star recruit and the No. 438 overall player in the country. He also is the No. 31 quarterback in the 2027 recruiting class and the No. 48 overall player from his home state of Florida.
These rankings might not jump off the screen, but his stats do. During his first season as a starter in 2025 he led his team to a 14-1 record and a State Championship. He also completed 64.6 percent of his passes for 2,360 yards, 23 touchdowns and just six interceptions. He even added another three touchdowns on the ground as well.
Davidson's recruitment will likely only heat up from here as more schools are beginning to notice him, but Georgia is putting themselves firmly in the mix. And while Haven may no longer be a realistic option for them, Davidson could end up being Georgia's QB commit in their 2027 class.
