Georgia football earned yet another major commitment on Saturday when four-star corner Caden Harris announced his commitment to Georgia. While every Georgia fan saw this commitment coming, it is extremely exciting for multiple reasons.

First of all, Harris is one of the top recruits in the entire 2026 recruiting class. He is the No. 85 overall player in the coutnry as well as the No. 11 corner and No. 3 player from his home state of Tennessee. On top of that, Harris was committed to Vanderbilt before this announcement, so UGA was able to go out and steal an elite recruit from another SEC program.

So where did this commitment take Georgia's recruiting class in the On3 industry rankings. The Bulldogs have been climbing up these rankings throughout the past month, and that continued once again on Saturday after Harris announced his commitment to UGA.

Georgia surges to No. 4 recruiting class after latest commitment

After Harris made his commitment to Georgia official, the Bulldogs' 2026 recruiting class jumped up to No. 4 in the country. Still ahead of Georgia is USC at No. 1 followed by LSU and Ohio State.

Georgia had the No. 5 class in the country entering Saturday, but this commitment moved UGA past Clemson who has since fallen outside of the top five. Everyone knows how great of a program Clemson is, so moving past them is a significant accomplishment.

Georgia's meteoric rise in the recruiting rankings likely isn't done either. Just one month ago the Bulldogs were well outside the top 20 in these rankings, but countless commitments have thrust Georgia into the top four. So if the trend from the last month continues, Georgia should continue adding more commitments which will continue their rise up these rankings.

And Georgia's next commit likely is coming very soon, because the Bulldogs have an impressive list of recruits currently visiting Athens this weekend that will likely result in at least one commit.
