Georgia football is one of the favorites to win a National Championship this season. Sure there are plenty of college football experts and fans who believe someone else will win it all this season, but pretty much every believes the Bulldogs have a good chance to win a national title this year.

This includes Vegas who gives Georgia the third best odds to win it all. However, Vegas oddsmakers are already adjusting Georgia's championship odds and it is a bad sign for UGA.

Georgia's National Championship odds are on the move

After beating Alabama in the SEC Championship game, Vegas gave Georgia +550 odds of winning a national title. This was the third best odds behind Indiana and Ohio State, and since those are the two teams seeded higher than Georgia this seemed pretty fair.

Georgia's odds however are moving in the wrong direction because they are now +600 to win the College Football Playoff, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. This means that Vegas is less confident in Georgia winning it all than they were immediately after the SEC Championship game.

It's unclear what caused this change. The College Football Playoff hasn't even started yet, so there is no way to judge how good Georgia or any of their future opponents look since the bracket was revealed. But for some reason Vegas is still less confident in Georgia now than they were before.

Georgia still has the third best odds of winning a national title behind Ohio State and Indiana. The Buckeyes are the clear favorite at +190 with Indiana sitting at +320. Behind Georgia is Oregon at +800 and Texas Tech at +850. After that is a significant dropoff where Texas A&M sits at +1900, so Vegas believes one of the top five teams will win it all this season.

Georgia's first matchup in the playoff is on Jan. 1 against the winner of the first round game between Ole Miss and Tulane. It will be interesting to see how these odds chance if Georgia wins that game, but regardless everyone knows UGA can win it all and that is the only thing that matters.
