Georgia is just days away from beginning their run in the College Football Playoff against Ole Miss. While it is nice that the Bulldogs are predicted to win that game, their goals are much greater than winning one playoff game.

The bad news is that Vegas oddsmakers do not love their chances of winning the National Championship this season. In fact, their odds haves drastically shifted over the course of the season as they were once given a 47 percent chance to win it all but now only have a 15 percent chance to do so.

Vegas oddsmakers give Georgia fans new reason to panic

This drastic change doesn't make a lot of sense. Sure Georgia didn't start the season out so hot as they struggled against lesser competition in their first two games before nearly losing to Tennessee. Then Georgia lost to Alabama in their fourth game of the season. At this point in the season it made sense for their odds to win a national title to drop significantly, but then UGA finished the season in the best way possible.

After losing to Alabama, Georgia won nine straight games which includes victories over Ole Miss, Texas and Alabama in the SEC Championship game. But even after all of this success, Georgia still doesn't have great odds to win a national title.

The good news is that none of this actually matters. In fact, the more Georgia is doubted the better because Kirby Smart will be able to use that to his advantage to motivate his team. But Vegas thinks they know something that Georgia doesn't because everyone in Athens believes they have better than a 15 percent chance at winning the national title.

Now they just have to go out and prove everyone wrong beginning with their matchup against Ole Miss.
